Join us to try out your wonderful Halloween costumes and spend time with your neighbors. We’ll have food and treats along with a bounce house and face painting. Bring a friend. Saturday, October 26, 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. in the back parking lot. We look forward to seeing you!
Join us as we explore beliefs around the creation of our world through the lens of Darwin’s Theory of Evolution. Often positioned as opposing belief systems, you will hear personal and professional insights from a lifetime of helping people grapple with how humankind came to “be” in God’s image. There will be ample time for questions. Our guest lecturer, the Reverend Dr. David Kidd, taught anthropology before sensing God’s overwhelming call to pursue a life of Christian service, and eventually becoming a Presbyterian pastor. He served congregations in rural Appalachia and at Nashville’s Hillsboro Presbyterian Church for more than 37 years and has taught at Belmont University in the College of Theology and Christian Ministry. Pastor Kidd has both a Masters and Doctorate in Divinity. We will serve pizza and drinks starting at 6pm so you can come right after work. Childcare will be provided for toddlers through age 8. Babies and older children are welcome to stay with their parents.
Telos on Tuesdays: Tuesday, October 8th at 10am Telos on Tuesday met on September 10. We had a lively and far-ranging discussion of the role the Bible has played in our lives – the good, the bad and the ugly. Come join us next time in the Southminster library.

Join us on the 4th Wednesday of each month for socializing and picking the parson’s brain on issues of faith. We meet for a relaxing of time of just doing life together – flopping God-ward. As Pastor Beth often says, “Parishioners don’t let their pastor drink alone.” Location: Black Abbey Brewing Co. 2952 Sidco Dr, Nashville, Tennessee. When: 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., the 4th Wednesday of every month…we may skip December.
