Finding a way to help the children understand that their generosity makes a difference is an important part of why we have a tube (almost) full of quarters. Once we get the quarter tube filled, we will be donating those funds to the Presbyterian Hunger Program and learning about the ways we are helping to reduce hunger. If you’re curious, check out what they’re up to.
There are 2 ways to help students and teachers of Norman Binkley Elementary School: We’ve learned that because of cold & flu season, teachers need extra bleach wipes and tissues. If you’re out shopping, consider grabbing some to bring to the next Worship Gathering. Many families struggle to have enough food. As an ongoing project, Telos will collect food donations for their in-school food bank at every Worship Gathering. They need non-perishable things that can survive the trip home in a child’s backpack, so if you get rice or beans in a bag, please double bag them in a Ziploc or similar bag. Canned fruit or vegetables, pasta, macaroni and cheese – and anything else that would be nutritious, non-perishable and backpack-proof would be great!
Norman Binkley is looking for guest readers the week of February 25th – March 1st between 8:15 and 2:50! If you’re available any day for approximately 20 minutes and would be willing to share the joy of reading with a class of students, contact: Meghan Brewington at Meghan.Brewington@mnps.org.
Sunday, September 29th, 2019, please join us for another Habitat for Humanity Unity Build.
